Ginko Petrified Forest State Park

Our group Out of the Cube Adventures made the drive over to Ginko Petrified Forest State Park to explore the interpretive trails. Doing a 5 hour round trip drive over the pass to the Columbia river may seem a bit excessive, however the change weathers worth. After driving through pouring rain, once we made it over  the pass the weather changed for the better. I came prepared since it was the “Pi Day of the Century”. So at 9:56AM just outside Ellensburg, WA I pulled over and my carpool and fellow hiker Wayne had Pie. Just a little Franz fruit pie.

We met up with members of another meetup group from Walla Walla who joined us. After words the shared a berry pie they brought along.
