So Robin found a little Scrap Booking store in Wailuku called Island Paperie and next door is a little internet coffee shop. So I’m taking a few moments to blog. It’s been fun couple of days. We have not really done on touristy thing. That might change today now that we on the North end of the Island. We are thinking about taking one of the pineapple plantation tours.
We had dinner at Mama’s Fish House. When went in 2003 we just stopped in on our way back from Hana without a reservation. That got us a small table near the kitchen. This time we had reservation a week ahead of time and we were rewarded with a much better table. The food and service as always was wonderful. See the flickr stream or the mac gallery for pics.As I type this the weather is overcast (our first overcast day) and a nice 74 degrees.I have only checked work email once, wait .. no twice. That’s it I swear!
Just to let you all know we have arrived in Maui and we are doing great. You can follow our flicker feed (photos on the right) of visit our Mac Gallery Page.
Aloha!!
Some of you may remember that our trip to Maui in 2003 was made interesting by the fact that we ended up running into 5 people from my office. So I should not have been surprised when at Seatac that I ran into someone from the office while in line at Starbucks. Is this a sign of things to come? I swear that if someone walks up to me on the beach and says “Jeff your application is running slow” I’ll loose it! LOL
First it was MS that wanted to have my medical record. Now Google? Sorry but the answer is still no. Not as big of a “no” as I had to MS, still a no.
It looks like it’s over and Toshiba has thrown in the towel. They are giving up on HD DVD. Which means that they are going to have to start licensing and making players for Sony’s Blue-Ray format. So hopefully in a few months we will have a a large fight for our blue ray dollars as manufactures start making cheaper and cheaper players. Now the question is how long can I last with a DVD player in my laptop?
I already checked the ones in our family. I’m surprised the frames are not finished in lead paint.
