Just remember that Halloween is not celebrated much where this story is located. Still, first rule of zombie encounter. This might be a good time to remind you about putting together your own Zombie Defense kit for home use.
I had windows on my MacBook Pro until about 6 months ago, when I realized the only time I fired it up was to show people that it ran windows. I had better use for the disk space. Still I can hear the laughter of that Simpson’s character. (ha-ha)
So this morning as I am leaving the house and try to use the door to the garage, it won’t turn. It must be locked. No. The lock is broken. So i try for a few minutes to get it to work. I try taking a steak knife to the bolt. Nope. Can not open the garage door, because the switch is on the other side of the door. The remotes are in the cars. Also in the garage, the tools I need to take the door knob off. So I search the house for tools. I find the screwdriver for taking the case apart on my PC and a pair of pliers in a kitchen drawer. Thank goodness for a the kitchen junk drawer. So I was able to take the knob off, but the bolt is stuck in the locked position and is too long to come out easily. So I have to start tearing it out with the pliers. Finally freedom! Not the way I wanted to start my day.
If you’re thinking, hey I could break into Jeff’s house. Nope. We were still able to set the alarm system on that door.
Thanks to Craig for sending us this video. I’ve always wondered why I wake up at 4 in the morning when Otto want attention… BTW - Happy Birthday Craig.
When I got home Friday night, I started to do a full backup of my laptop. By 3PM Saturday afternoon it was 98% complete. But we had to go Melissa and Jeff’s Halloween party. So I did not get to starting the install until 12:30 this morning. It went great. No problems. I was up until 4AM playing with it. Now that my email has integrated to do list, I’m hoping the next iPhone update has a frigg’n to do application.
We went to the Stauch’s annual Halloween party, and Robin too 4th place in the pumpkin carving contest (above). Can you guess which one is mine? Can you tell I was anxious to get home and install OS X Leopard? It’s always fun to visit Melissa and Jeff for their parties, we even do nto mind the 150 mile round trip from our home to theirs in Lake Stevens.
OK Too much Zombie talk I know.. but this is bad. They do not call out any AV products by name, but if you have on of the top two — then well. Better make sure your Windows Update is up to date or find tools to look for and remove Storm.

I am testing out out I can integrate iLife 08 and dot mac into word press. So in attempt to imitate the flickr photo stream (below) I am going to start posting pics to "The Stream". A Mac Photo Gallery that I can post to directly with my iPhone.
So see the latest in "The Stream".
