Well my phone is more than OK, it’s great. If you were wondering how my iPhone did after the last update from apple, it’s just fine. Apple did announce last week that this latest update might make an unlocked phone inoperable. My phone is not unlocked, but I did use installer.app to install and run third party applications. I also used iToner to install my own ring tones. Apple did hint that the week before last that 3rd party apps like installer.app would not be supported. So before I applied this latest update, I did a restore on my phone.
Apparently this has been around for a while. I just found out today. It seems that if you visit Amazon on your iPhone you’ll see an option to visit their iPhone friendly web page.
Well I had pretty crappy day at the office trying to keep one of my apps from going to ground. However I did get a email alert from Sound Transit that Wi-Fi is now available on Sounder. Low and behold there is the placard right below the bike symbol. Tried it on the way home tonight. Not bad. Certainly better than using EDGE on my iPhone. My commute just got a whole lot easier…. best of all, it’s free.
As you can see this bike design was inspired by a frog. Now before you get all “that would never work” it is a concept design. Thanks Doug W for the link.
If you use Google Calendar like I do, and you have an iPhone, this is great news! Just yesterday I modified HAWS.NET to detect the iPhone browser agent and serve up a iPhone friendly view. Google has done the same with Google Calendar.

So tonight, thanks to a tip from a co-worker on Friday, I went to the Seattle Symphony. The program was a part of the Seattle Pop Series featuring Sci-Fi Favorites. I love hearing John Williams music live. When you hear “Duel of the Fates” in a place like Benaroya Hall with the Seattle Symphony and Vocal Point! Seattle — well it suddenly makes your iPod seem like a 8 track player.
