So I needed to call a support group, I called, told them my problem and the tech had to put me on hold for a few minutes. So there I am listening to their hold music for a few minutes. Since I was on the iPhone with ear buds, I thought I would go down the hall to get some coffee.

So walking down the hall listening to music on my iPhone is a common thing for me to do. Another common thing that happens is that you run into people and start conversations. So like I do in most cases like that, I went to pause the music with the in-line switch and microphone on the ear buds. Which worked as designed when you are on a phone call by hanging up on the current call.

I know I can not be the only one who has done this — there must be a name for this sort thing, that does nto include the word idiot.
