That’s right, it’s really just an over sized glue trap for rats of the human kind…
The mat is basically a sheet with an adhesive layer and weighs a whopping 8kg (size: 1mx1.5m). Shimada says the main idea behind the mat is to enhance security in your own home in a discreet way (the thing, which you can see in the picture, looks like a regular entrance mat).

I do not agree with slapping anyone’s kid, let alone a stranger in public. This however made me and others laugh. I suppose it has to do with our own pent up frustrations when someone child is crying. That being said I don’t think I have ever seen a better photo/headline match in my life! I mean come on. If you read this headline without a picture, I swear this picture would be the one that popped into your head. oh, and yes, he should be punished to the full extent of the law.
