Church issues apology for massacre no mention, of ‘September Dawn’

I find it interesting that the LDS apologizes for the Mountain Meadows massacre, but makes no mention of the film September Dawn. Very possibly the reason they felt that they need to say something about a controversial event from 150 years ago.
